Education

Tiffany Crews Loris earned her Juris Doctor with high honors at Florida State University College of Law where she was an award-winning member of the College's nationally renowned Mock Trial Team.  She also studied law at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England.    Ms. Loris attended the Florida Institute of Technology for undergraduate studies, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Communication, Magna Cum Laude.  She is a lifelong Brevard County resident.

Since 2001, Ms. Loris has practiced Marital and Family Law as a private attorney.  She regularly handles matters in all areas of Family and Marital Law, including contested and uncontested divorces, domestic and repeat violence injunctions for both petitioners and respondents, alimony, custody, visitation, child support enforcement, adoption, paternity, contempt, and modification proceedings.  She also handles divorces involving complex financial issues, and she is trained in Collaborative Divorce.

 

Former Assistant State Attorney
Ms. Loris is an experienced trial attorney with over 5 years experience as an Assistant State Attorney in Brevard County. During her time as a prosecutor, she prosecuted a wide range of criminal offenses. These included DUI, DUI manslaughter, theft, burglary, homicide, drug trafficking and other drug offenses, domestic violence assault and battery, stalking, aggravated battery, violation of probation, juvenile crimes, and other complex felony litigation.

18th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar - South Brevard       Ms. Loris recently joined the 18th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar for South Brevard.  The grievance committed investigates complaints against Florida lawyers to determine if probable cause exists to believe that unprofessional conduct has occurred.  

Judicial Nominating Commission Member - 18th Judicial Circuit
Tiffany Crews Loris was appointed to the Judicial Nominating Commision for the 18th Judicial Circuit (Brevard and Seminole Counties) by Gov. Jeb Bush from 2001 - 2004. Ms. Loris served as Chairwoman of the Commission from 2003 - 2004. The Commission reviews applications for Judges and submits their recommendations to the Governor.

Ms. Towery attended the University of Central Florida where she was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Politcal Science Cum Laude. She then recevied her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.

Ms. Towery prosecuted both Misdemeanor and Felony offenses at the State Attorney's Office. She also supervised and trained new prosecutors, instructor for continuing legal education courses for misdemeanor and felony prosecutors in Brevard and Seminole Counties.
