OTHER PRACTICE AREAS
Estate Planning
It is important that every person have an estate plan in place, no matter that person’s family or financial status. Every individual’s needs are unique. A trust may be in your best interest for the avoidance of probate or more control over the distribution of your assets after death, or you may only need a simple will. We welcome the opportunity to sit down with you and discuss your concerns and goals with regard to the distribution of your assets, care of any minor children, and other estate planning issues.
Criminal
The Loris Law Group handles a full range of felony and misdemeanor crimes, including DUI, Traffic offenses, Theft, Drug Crimes, Violent Crimes, Juvenile Offenses, and Violations of Probation. We also represent clients involved with procedural matters, such as sealing and expunging criminal records, seeking early termination or modification of probation, bond hearings, resolving outstanding warrants, and post conviction relief.
Appeals
A final ruling in your case is not always final. The Florida appeals process has been established to provide legal redress from court orders that were issued in error due to procedural mistakes, judicial misapplication or misinterpretation of the law, or abuse of discretion by the judge. The Loris Law Group provides appellate representation in Family Law and Criminal Law matters.
It is important to understand that simply losing a case is not immediate grounds for an appeal. The attorneys at the Loris Law Group can provide the expertise needed to evaluate the trial court proceedings and determine whether an error occurred that led to an improper or unjust decision in your case that can be addressed by the appellate court. Your appellate rights are limited and time sensitive. Most appellate proceedings have very narrow windows of time for filing your intent to appeal. Therefore, your immediate action is required in order to prevent a permanent waiver of this important right.
